TEACHING METHOD
Spend 100 % of your class time learning – 50% listening and 50% speaking. With the use of a conversational method, we train students from day one to understand, speak, read and write the language quickly and naturally.
This communicative approach, proven by current linguistic research to be the most effective for learning a new language, places strong emphasis on the communication features of learning a foreign language: that is, speaking, listening and practicing in a fun and natural way.
Using only the target language in class trains students to think in the new language without the pitfall of needing to translate into their native language. Grounded in practical, real-life situations – such as ordering meals, booking trips, and asking for directions–, our method will help you expand your vocabulary and knowledge as you build confidence. Soon you will be conversing and thinking in your new language.
Such an approach offers students the following benefits:
- An Organized Syllabus – All classes, from absolute beginner to advanced, are presented in the target language, as students are guided through an expanding awareness of the language.
- Time Efficiency - Students rapidly and effectively acquire a conscious understanding of the language as well as strong speaking and writing skills.
- Complete Communication – Students progress toward proficiency in the four skill areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
- Practice – Classes are student-centered with an emphasis on practicing target language through a variety of communicative activities as well as structured drills and exercises where accuracy and dexterity are the goals.
- Accuracy – Students achieve far greater accuracy in speech and writing than in other approaches in which functional communication is the only goal.
