Our group instruction is set in a very small class which will enable you to be an active participant rather than a passive spectator. This is a relaxed, fun way to learn and practice the language for students at all levels (beginner, false beginner (see refresher course), low-intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced). Students will read and discuss articles on contemporary topics, watch and discuss short video segments for listening comprehension, and practice real life role-plays while learning and applying the basic concepts of correct grammar. We offer group courses at convenient times on weekdays and also on the weekend.

2-  ONE-ON-ONE INSTRUCTION- Flexible and Convenient

Do you have specific needs in the new language? Does your work or home schedule prevent you from taking classes on a regular, predictable basis? Then, our private classes are perfect for you. Private instruction will fulfill your precise language requirements. You will progress at your own pace and you may ask as many questions as you like. The private course is good for any level student with specific needs and interests. Since the class scheduling is flexible, it is perfect for those who travel frequently or who have erratic schedules. We have instructors available on weekdays and also on the weekend (morning, afternoon and evening) for your convenience. We will also customize a program to meet your special vocabulary needs!

4-  IMMERSION GROUP COURSES

Would you like to learn or improve your new language quickly? Our intensive immersion programs are ideal for beginner to intermediate students who hope to study or work in a foreign language or for those who will just be vacationing abroad. We recommend doing a combination of small group and private classes to maximize learning.

5- CONVERSATION CLUB

Do you need to perfect your language skills or do you want to maintain your language ability on a regular basis? This class is conducted in a discussion format and is for students interested in speaking perfectly and intuitively without inhibition. You will read and discuss articles on contemporary topics, watch short video segments, and practice advanced role-plays that will teach you how to express yourself correctly and confidently. Minimum level required: intermediate.

6-  ONSITE GROUP OR PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Are you too busy at work to come to our location or do you have difficulty finding a babysitter? One of our professional instructors will be happy to travel to your office or home. We will work around your busy schedule at your convenience and provide you with the same high-quality language instruction you get in our own location. This can be arranged as a private or group course according to your needs.

7-  REFRESHER COURSES (False beginner level)

Do you feel like you have lost your ability to speak the language? This course is designed for people who have previously studied the language, but who are rusty. This small group course starts with a quick review of all beginning material, including everyday vocabulary, present tense verbs and role-plays for situations related to travel, work or daily life. After completing a thorough review, the course will focus on more advanced verb tenses and grammatical structures while helping students build vocabulary through conversational drills. Video segments and short readings will be utilized to improve listening comprehension.

8-  TRAVELER'S COURSES

Why travel in isolation? Why should you spend so much money and time planning a trip and then not be able to fully enjoy your experience because of a language barrier? This course will help you make the most of your upcoming trip abroad. In this conversational class, attention will focus on asking and answering questions using vocabulary and scenarios you will encounter as a traveler such as asking for directions, ordering in a restaurant, telling the time, going shopping, making travel arrangements, and visiting museums and other special points of interest. After this course, you will be able to experience daily life in the country you are visiting and eliminate the stress and frustration of not being able to communicate, thus allowing you to fully enjoy your trip.

9-  SPANISH FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

Spanish speakers are fast becoming a “majority minority” in this country and savvy professionals are becoming aware that speaking Spanish enables them to effectively communicate with their patients or clients and getting their jobs done with much more rewarding results for all parties. This program is designed to promote Spanish competency in language as well as cultural awareness of the Spanish-speaking immigrant community through the use of video and numerous imaginative interactive exercises. 10-  SPANISH IMMERSION WORKSHOP

The workshop includes 4 hours of Spanish with experienced and enthusiastic native instructors. Participants are put in a variety of settings requiring different forms of communication. Activities may include role-plays, board games competitions, short stories & newspapers discussions and listening comprehension activities. Grammar topics will be touched upon based on the specific needs of the participants.

11-  PRACTICAL COURSE IN TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION SKILLS

This unique program will help you hone your Spanish languange skills and achieve the confidence to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. This program is oriented to those who already have an advanced knowledge of the language but want to focus on grammar structures and common pitfalls and learn more about nuances of the language. It is also ideal to help aspiring translators and/or interpreters to get their start in these exciting and lucrative fields.

This program features extensive written and oral exercises to practice your understanding of the form and uses of verbs and further your knowledge of verb tenses and structures in Spanish.

It includes tranlation practice assignments (representing an increasing level of difficulty) in areas such as news, law, medicine, business and more. You will be guided through many of the pitfalls of translations, taught how to avoid them, show shortcuts in accomplishing a complex piece of translation work, and be given the benefit of comments designed to show you how to produce a translation acceptable to major clients such as government, industry, the legal world, and many more.

It also includes listening exercises, monolingual and bilingual interpreting exercises, and practice on simultaneous and consecutive interpretation.
